7:30 PM June 24, 2014 was my 4th visit here. Each time there was a different employee and never were any of them friendly. I intended to order pastalaya for a group of co-workers and was informed that they only had chicken jambalaya left. With no other choice I ordered 2 bowls for 2 with white beans. After waiting a lengthy amount of time I asked the employee if she had instructed the kitchen to fill the order cold. She replied no and rushed to the kitchen. She returned with my order which had been heated. Upon arriving home I discovered that the white beans were 2 small single servings...hardly enough for 4 people. The food here is generally good, but with the unfriendly service, employees that can't follow simple instructions, and the inconsistent menu, I can't say that The Jambalaya Shoppe in Port Allen will ever be my first choice.
